The Cardiac Arrest tab utilises the same data set as the Utstein Template for Cardiac Arrest.

Adding a Cardiac Arrest

1. To add a cardiac arrest, click on the "Cardiac Arrest" tab within the patient screen

2. Press "+ Add" to be taken to the cardiac arrest popover menu where the arrest details can be entered.

3. The first section of the cardiac arrest tab lists the start time of the arrest, the location, presumed cause, and whether the arrest was witnessed or not. Responses can be selected from the drop down lists.

4. The "Before EMS Arrival" section details any bystander action that was taken before the first ambulance resource arrived on scene.

5. The EMS treatment section details the actions taken by the ambulance service, including Community First Responders.

6. Lastly, the ROSC section describes any Return of Spontaneous Circulation which may have been achieved. Within this section there is also the opportunity to record if resuscitation was discontinued.

7. Once the cardiac arrest data has been completed, click "OK" to save the record. This will take you back to the patient screen where a summary of the arrest is shown.
